A couple of months ago now I started collecting the ‘Disney Lego Mini- Figure’ collection, and I’ve finally completed it! There are 18 in the series and I personally think they are super cute! But I just love everything Disney. They come in little packets that are sealed so you don’t know which character you are getting: it’s a great little surprise! This obviously made it very difficult to collect the whole series and I did have lots of duplicates but it’s all part of the fun! The little surprise you had when opening a packet was great, ha! It’s the little things..
Each individual packet was £2.50 so it was quite pricey for the whole collection. And the frame was £25.00 shipped from America. I’ve also bought a specialised frame for them all online too, here it is..
How cool does that look, it makes a lovely little wall decoration, I personally love it! A very simple but great idea that I just wanted to share with you. If you want to collect them yourself or you have older children that love Disney just like me, head to your local Disney stores, Sainsburys or WH Smiths to collect your first packets! I can assure you it will add a little fun to your day.
Lego have other series too, it’s a great idea! Check them out: http://www.lego.com/en-gb/minifigures
My mum and dad watch Countryfile most Sunday nights and last week I was around and heard about their calendar competition they run every year. Having started photography a couple of months ago, I thought I would give it a go and enter! What have I got to lose right?! It can only improve my skills.
This year the theme was ‘From Dawn to Dusk’ which basically means literally anything! Obviously it has to be something to do with the show, I.e landscapes, animals, etc but it seemed to be so open this year! They select 12 winners for the calendar and the main winner selected by the judges wins some photography equipment worth £1000! How amazing is that! It seemed pretty simple to me, I just wanted to enter for the experience more than anything, but obviously been selected would be absolutely amazing!
Myself and my family visited Bakewell last weekend which was the ideal opportunity to capture some pictures! I personally think I managed to get some great pictures, but of course I’m bias! I didn’t have much time to plan what I was going to take, it really was just a spur of the moment thing! Here are the photos I entered into the competition..
I’m not too sure what happens next, I think the photos appear on their website and people vote for their favourites. If that is the case, I’ll be sure to let you know! What do you think of my photos? I’m always wanting to learn more!
I have some really really EXCITING news! I’m so happy and very privileged to share with you all that I will now be writing for ‘My Trending Stories’: A new website which seeks to inform readers about the latest news and events occurring globally. It aims to be one of the biggest blogging websites on the Internet so I am so excited to be a part of that. They contacted me about a month ago saying they liked what they saw on my blog and asked if I wanted to become one of their bloggers. And of course I said YES!
I am so incredibly lucky to have got this opportunity from simply writing this blog online. I am so excited to get started and to start sharing my views on the website. Obviously I still have a lot to learn, and my profile doesn’t have anything on it yet but this is where I will start to post.. https://mytrendingstories.com/profile/emily-joel/
How exciting!! I can’t wait to get started, my first posts will be up next weekend, so ,don’t forget to check out the link. Why not have a look at the website in the mean time and read through some of the other great work it displays. It really is a great website!
