My New Favourite Exercise: Clubbercise.

I have always hated the gym. I have never found any enjoyment out of it. I used to have to force myself to go so I think that may be the main reason why I never saw any results from the many times I have tried to join a gym! Most people join gyms in January but I actually cancelled my membership this January as I had been wasting my money for the last 4 months of 2016. I knew I wasn’t going to go as I really came to hate going so I thought I needed to start looking for something else. A way of exercising that can be fun too..

People say that in order to lose weight you don’t necessarily need to do exercise and that you can lose weight by simply changing your diet. However, I personally felt it was important to incorporate some exercise into my routine, to help boost my weight loss. I also wanted to use exercise as a new hobby and to meet new people.

At the end of December last year a friend of mine introduced me to ‘Clubbercise‘ and I haven’t looked back since! I have attended classes once a week for the past 4 weeks and I absolutely love it. I actually look forward to it coming around each week, and I never would have thought I would enjoy doing exercise!

What is Clubbercise you may ask?! It seems to be the new craze, there seems to be groups popping up everywhere. The best way to describe it is just like Zumba but..  YOU HAVE GLOWSTICKS AND ITS IN THE DARK! Basically you get to dance around to fast paced routines in the dark with loads of flashing lights and your very own multi- flash GLOWSTICKS!

It’s A.MAZE.ING. I currently go to a place in Sheffield but if you search ‘clubbercise – and then your town/city’, on Facebook, loads of different classes come up. Here’s mine if you want to have a look.. There’s a few videos on there too that show you what it’s all about.

I highly recommend giving it a go if there is a class near you. I am someone that never goes red when I exercise but this makes me look like a tomato! And I ache for DAYS after too, so it must be doing something! It is so much fun and definitely works; I’m already seeing results only 4 weeks in.

Who doesn’t want to dance around in the dark with flashing lights and lose weight/tone at the same time?! Go and try a class ASAP! Let me know if you give it a go.

Bye for now,

Emily Jane xo

Rio Olympics 2016.

Hi Everyone, I’ve had a really busy week this week. I’ve had some time off work which has been amazing but I’ve had plans everyday so Im still feeling pretty tired! What have you been up to? Having heard about all the celebrations that went on around the country yesterday to celebrate the outstanding achievement of team GB at the olympics I thought it would be only fitting to do a post about the most successful Olympic Games for Great Britain! History has been made!

Yesterday was a big UK Sports day! Different cities around the world put on events where anyone could go and try a sport for free. I didn’t personally get involved as I already had plans but what a great idea that was. I hope it has incouraged more people to get involved in olympics sports.

Well then, what can I say about this years Olympics?! They were just spectacular, it was outstanding from start to finish, I have absolutely loved watching them. And to be quite honest, I am gutted that they have finished. The two and a bit weeks seemed to fly by! The opening and closing ceremonies were spectacular in my opinion. I particularly loved the opening where they showed the different stages of Brazil’s evolution, it was extremely interesting.

I am so incredibly proud to be British right now, 67 medals!! How AMAZING is that! And for 27 of them to be Gold too. A huge congratulations to all althletes involved! Personally, my favourite sports to watch were diving, synchronised swimming, cycling, gymnastics and general swimming. I loved the skill that had to go into these sports. I’m not saying there isn’t any skill in any others, I just prefer to watch the type of skill that goes into these particular sports. They all fascinate me! I sat there in awe every night, quite jealous too, ha! The strength, ability and hours of training that each and every althlete had to put in to be at that standard really did show throughout all the sports. I did enjoy watching the majority of the sports if I’m honest though! The sports that didn’t really interest me were taekwondo and fencing. I just didn’t really understand what was involved or what they had to do, so maybe that’s the reason why I avoided them.

I have definitely been inspired to try out more sport. I’ve been looking into places in my area that run badminton classes and I’m looking forward to starting. That’s as far as I’m willing to go for now I think, I’ll try one sport at a time ey! Ha! Are you interested in trying any sports? Let me know what you have been inspired to try out..

Ta ta,
Emily Jane

New Nike’s.

Last week I was doing some research into how I can improve my feet comfort throughout a long week at work, working 12 hour days. I came across a tiny, little trick that seemed to be popular on the Internet! I found out that it isn’t very healthy for your feet to wear the same shoes all week. Your feet seem to mould to the shoe you precisently wear, causing pain to your feet because your feet are too used to the shoe. I know, I didn’t believe it either! But I was completely wrong, it must be true. It advised that you alternate your shoes throughout the week so that this doesn’t happen, and you know what, after only a weeks trial I can say that my feet feel so much better already! Who would have thought by just buying a new pair of trainers to alternate with my others that i would solve my achy feet problems.

Last weekend I decided to buy some new trainers, so that I could try out this trick ( I was desperate to try anything, and I needed new trainers anyway!). After lots of research into the right pair to buy, and plenty of hours in so many shops, I decided on some NikeFlex TR 6 trainers and I love them! I first tried them on in the Nike store in Meadowhall, but I personally thought they were a little pricey for my needs, so I went to see if other places had them. Guess what! Sports direct of all places had the exact same ones but for £30 cheaper! Winner, winner ey! Here they are, how beautiful are they..

I am not a trainers lover, I am really not. I am definitely not the type of person to wear trainers on a regular basis, but I must admit these ones are ideal for me and the nature of my job (I’m on my feet 12 hours a day, so I need super comfy shoes). I would much rather wear a sandal, if I’m honest, but sometimes you have to give in to what you want to wear for comfort! They are obviously not the best Nike trainers you can get, but they are perfect for my personal needs, and are super super comfy! I don’t need them for running, just a comfy sole for a long days work.

I personally love how these trainers look on; They don’t look massive and clunky on your feet which most trainers do and they fit like a slipper! So unbelievable comfy, it’s like walking on air! They are so light and comfortable whilst also looking great, what more can you ask for? I am so happy with my purchase.

I bought these like I said from Sports Dorect, for £49.99 which was in the sale! They have a massive Summer Sale on at the moment, so if you all looking for some new trainers, for work or for personal use, then I recommend going down to your nearest Sports Direct or check them out online here People usually seem to avoid places like Sports Direct for a good pair of trainers as they feel they are too cheap but I don’t think people realise that they are just the same shoes in the branded shops just sold at a better price!! Forget about where they are from, save abit of money and get the same trainers for cheaper, no one knows where they are from when you have them on your feet. Get down to Sports Direct now!

Have you seen any bargains on trainers lately? Let me know,

Take care
Emily Jane
