I hope you have had a really lovely weekend! I’ve had a super busy one for a change, I have been very productive. I’ve visited family which is always lovely, done a spot of baking, been shopping, played around with my camera and watched countless amounts of catch-up TV. I’m sad that the weekend is almost over, it always goes way too fast!
Yesterday me and my mum visited the cutest little shop in Doncaster called ‘Melody Maison’. We have been decorating all of our downstairs and we were looking online for quirky little ornaments to match our new decor, and we came across their website and absolutely loved it! We were thrilled to find out that their shop was in Doncaster and only half an hour away from us, we just had to pay a visit!
The shop is in a very remote area but very easy to find with a Sat Nav. Its very well signposted too: you couldn’t miss the design of the building, with the huge ‘Melody Maison’ writing on the side. It is quite possibly the most beautiful shop I have ever visited. Although quite small, it is a lovely little showroom. All their items were set out beautifully, I could have honestly looked round all day and would have kept on noticing something different every time: there was so much to see! We felt like we couldn’t touch anything even when we wanted to buy it, we didn’t want to ruin the gorgeous displays! It was quite frankly mind blowing, so many different ornaments, lanterns, jugs, flowers, tables, lamps, boxes and so much more.
I’ve taken some pictures of the things me and mum picked out for our home. I love every single item so much! Take a look..
I have got to say that the shop is now one of my favourites, its just the perfect shop for me. I am obsessed with home decor and this shop is just so me! I just wish i had my own house so I could buy more! There were so many different, unique home ornaments you would never usually think about having in your home. I just LOVE IT! You can check out their website here: http://www.melodymaison.co.uk, but for a better look at the absolutely beautiful items they have on offer, I would recommend visiting their shop as soon as you can, I can promise you will not be disappointed!
Just a tiny little post to share with you my new wall decoration that I’m so proud of! A couple of weeks ago now I randomly decided I wanted to decorate a wall in my room. I searched Pinterest for hours trying to find the right thing to match my current decor and I couldn’t find anything for so long but then I came across a lovely little idea and decided to try it out. Here it is!
I just thought it was something so personal and completely special just to you. It was really simple to put together and very cheap too! I bought the fairy lights from eBay for £5.99 which were a bargain! These were lights that came with lots of settings so they can flash on and off, sparkle, come on in sections and all sorts. You can get fairy lights anywhere nowadays though, you don’t need special ones for it to look amazing! I ordered some really cute little clips from Wilkinson’s of all places. They were £2.99 and you got 20 pegs. The pack included floral hearts, butterflies and dragonflies which I thought were super cute and very unique too. I then printed some pictures for free on ‘snapfish.com’ and I was ready to go..
I stuck the fairy lights up with white tack which can be carefully hidden and then simply added the photos to the pegs and clipped them on. I now have a beautiful wall display with some of my favourite photos of family and friends. I really do love photos and I absolutely adore this wall decoration idea. It looks so pretty! Why not try it out? It’s so cheap and looks beautiful. What do you think?
I thought I would share 12 of my favourite things, to give you a little insight into the person I am..
I LOVE Disney. From the films to Disneyland, EVERYTHING about Disney. I know some people will find it very childish but I think Disney is aimed at adults too! It’s something I enjoy, I love everything it represents and it always cheers me up when I am feeling down. 2. PIGS Pigs are my favourite animals. I really would love to have my very own little micro pig! I even gave up eating pork when I was 12 and I haven’t eaten any since. 3. PHOTOGRAPHS
Photographs hold memories and help you remember special events, and I love that. I take photos of literally everything to help treasure all my special memories. 4. HAPPY PEOPLE
Its always nice to be around someone who is always positive and always happy, it brightens your mood and always makes me smile. 5. PINK
I love everything pink. Nearly everything I own is pink, not a tacky pink though, obviously! 6. CRISPS
I am well known for loving my crisps. Any flavour, any time, I could eat crisps all day long. 7. GIRLY FILMS
I love a good chick flick. Although they sometimes present a unrealistic view on life it’s still nice to dream and think that life is how it seems to be in the movies 🙂 8. SHERLOCK
I love Sherlock and I love Benadict Cumberbatch. I watch the series over and over. I love everything about it. The storylines, the actors, the graphics, everything is just amazing! 9. HOME DECOR
I really enjoy looking into home decor and the new trends within interior design. I really can’t wait to get my own house just to decorate it and make it a home. 10. TRAVEL
I have visited quite a few places in my life but not as many as I would have liked. I love reading about other places in the world and I am currently planning lots of little trips to see as much of the world as I can. 11. MEDIA
I really enjoy watching and creating media. I have a degree in Media and I really enjoyed every aspect of it. I learnt so much about such a fascinating subject and I am so excited to make a career within the industry. 12. LOOKING AFTER YOURSELF
I like to make sure I always look after myself. Nicely washed hair, fresh make up, perfect nails etc. It’s something I feel to be important to help with your self confidence. If you look good, you will feel good 🙂
