I am a massive lover of all social media, regrettably I spend a lot of my time reading through Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and this week everyone seems to be on a real downer! I personally think it’s because it’s the end of January; there’s not much is going on, it’s miserable weather and everyone is waiting for pay day to come round as they are all scraping by this month, after the festivities. It’s what every January seems to be like! So I thought I would try and share some of my positive thinking in hope it can help some people out ☺️ this weeks Sunday quote is..
‘Being happy never goes out of style’ – Perfect right?!
I found this quote on Pinterest earlier this week and loved it. I instantly shared it on my Instagram as I couldn’t think of anything more true! One of my new year resolutions this year is to try and think positive about every situation thrown my way, in hope that I will be a much happier and positive person.
I learnt at the end of last year that being happy is really a choice. We may not think it but we can choose how we react to a certain situation. Yes sometimes awful things happen, but it is important to try your best to look on the positive side of what’s happened. It will help you to be happier and eventually help you through what’s gone wrong.
It is SO important to be happy. To be happy in what you are doing, happy with the people around you, just generally happy with yourself is a really great gift. And guess what, being happy never goes out of style! Everyone loves a happy person, everyone wants to be around a person that is happy, well I reckon the majority of people do! I always enjoy a happy persons company, happiness always spreads too which I love.
Let’s try our hardest to be happy this week. Make sure everything we do is positive and enjoy everything that we do!
Have a great week..

The motivational quote blogs are back! And the first fits perfectly with the new year. I am so excited for 2017, I have so much to look forward too and I have so many plans. I found this quote on Pinterest yesterday afternoon and it couldn’t be more true. It’s definitely something I’m going to live by this year..
‘1 Year = 365 Opportunies’
Very cliche I know, but I wanted to talk about it because it is 100% true! I know that January is an all round depressing month, no-one has much money after the festivities and everyone is sad that Christmas has come to an end. But with this quote in mind, let’s try and change depressing January into the month full of amazing Opportunies! It’s a new year for you to do whatever you want! Go on that dream holiday you have wanted to go on for years, take the plunge and quit the job you hate and take on the fantastic opportunities you have always wanted to do. This year is your year!
365 days seems so long, but amazing at the same time. 365 days where you can chose to do whatever you want. I understand that work has to take up a lot of those days to pay the bills but there is so much time to do the other things you want to achieve this year aswell. Everyone changes so much in a year due to the opportunities they choose to take, so go and do what you love! 365 days to work on yourself, develop relationships and generally have fun doing what you want.
And if you have a bad day, or a bad week, there is always a new day just around the corner. A new day is so exciting, 24 precious hours to do what you want with. This is something I hope to do this year, I want to start using my time more wisely. Not sleeping in too late (many every once in a while😉), not spending hours watching rubbish on the TV or generally laying about all day. I want to use my time more appropriately, learn more about this crazy world we live in and most importantly work on developing as a person.
So here’s to 365 days filled with 365 opportunities! Don’t waste your days, try and do something worthwhile to get you to where you want to be by the end if the year. Let’s work on this together in 2017!

Hey everyone, it’s Sunday night again! How’s your week been? I’ve been very busy this week with work and organising my little sisters birthday, I’ve loved doing it so much and it really has been a great weekend. Just a little quick post before we all head off to watch the best night of TV! I’m talking about Planet Earth and I’m a Celeb of course! Who are you routing for? Right on to this weeks quote..
‘Great things never come from comfort zones’
This is something I have been trying to tell myself for a very very long time. And if I’m honest I am still working on it.. I am someone who likes routine, who is very organised and likes to be happy in what I am doing. I admit that I am one for always sticking to my comfort zones. I like what I know, I’m happy doing what I know and I love what I do but I am continuously asking myself if I am actually happy? Do I want to do more with my life?
Half of me says I’m happy doing what I’m doing, I’m in a very stable situation and I’m happy with everything in my life but the other half says I want to get out there, I want to see the world. This is probably a problem most people my age are going through right now. I’m still young, I’m only 22 and the thought of working now for the rest of my life scares me! I want to find the confidence to do the things I want to do now, whilst I don’t have huge responsibilities; I need to leave my comfort zone!
So this weeks quote is perfect, it’s 100% true. People say you are most happiest when you are out of your comfort zones, learning new things, meeting new people and visiting new places. It’s about time we do it! So let’s start small and try our best to do some thing out of our comfort zones this week! Who’s with me?!
Keep smiling, Emily Jane xo
